HOW DOES ECONOKIT WORK ?

Water is made up from Oxygen and Hydrogen which on their own are a fuel (Hydrogen) and a supporter of combustion (Oxygen).

Internal combustion engine efficiency is quite low at around 30 - 35%, the rest of the energy is lost through heat, incomplete combustion of fuel, the energy required to compress air/fuel in the cylinder and aero dynamic drag on moving parts. The majority is heat loss.

Econokit uses wasted heat energy from the exhaust manifold and cooling system, to make a combustion enhancing mist from water that gets more work out of the fuel used, so in very simple terms it recycles heat to improve efficiency.

Econokit is connected to the engine inlet manifold which causes a vacuum in the system
The vacuum caused produces water mist in the bubbler (where air passes through a syphon tube inside the bubbler, a bit like when you blow down a drinking straw into a drink).
The mist is then drawn onto the reactor, which is mounted on the hot exhaust manifold, where it is then super heated and changed into a gas/fine mist.
This gas is mixed with ambient air and then drawn into the engine combustion chambers where it helps the fuel to burn more completely.

As a consequence you get more energy (work) out of the fuel which leads to fuel savings.
The more complete combustion of the fuel in the engine also reduces the amount of unburned fuel and incomplete combustion gasses which consequently improves the emissions from the engine.

The benefits of using water with internal combustion engines dates back to 1900's.
Many people have also noticed how their engine appears to run better on a misty morning or a rainy day.

Econokit effectively makes it like a misty morning all the time, but much much better.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I OVERFILL THE WATER RESERVOIR ?

Due to the vacuum/syphon effect the water will drain down/empty the reservoir through the inlet pipe to the minimum level.

HOW DO I KNOW IF MY ECONOKIT IS WORKING ?

There are several characteristics that Econokit presents:

• For a given speed you will not have to push your accelerator pedal down as far down.

• The engine feels like it wants to run more freely.

• If you had black smoke under acceleration before Econokit it should now be gone.

SHOULD I STILL FILL MY TANK WITH FUEL ?

Of course, Econokit doesn’t replace the fuel.
It has just an effect on fuel consumption by improving its efficiency.

WHICH MODIFICATIONS ARE NEEDED ON THE FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM ?

No modification is necessary.
Econokit is only an additional system connected to the air intake hose.

WHAT IS THE CHARGE RATE ?

It’s the ratio between the average used power and the nominal power of the engine.
Generally, industrial & agricultural engines have a high charge rate, trucks and cars have a medium to low charge rate.

WHAT IS CALLED THE ENGINE REGULATION (DROOP) ?

It’s the engine capacity to modify the fuel consumption in order to keep a constant speed when the output power (the load) is changing.

WHAT IS THE DROOP VALUE ?

It’s the percentage of speed variation beyond which the regulation of a diesel engine starts to have an effect on injection system. It should be less than 5% to have savings results.

HOW TO ESTIMATE THE CHARGE RATE OR THE LOAD RATE ?

You have to know the fuel consumption (L/H, L/KM, KM/L, MPG, etc.), the nominal power of the engine and for on-road vehicles, the average speed.

IS THE ECONOKIT INSTALLATION MODIFYING THE VEHICLE ?

NOT AT ALL
Because the kit is installed without deteriorating onboard equipment and mechanical modification.
The only mark after disassembly is a little hole for the air intake connection that you have to close.

WHAT IS THE ECONOKIT WATER CONSUMPTION ?

For a car, it’s about 500 ml for 1000km.
It’s higher on industrial & agricultural application (100 to 200 ml/hour)

WHAT IS THE OPTIMUM WATER TEMPERATURE ?

Around 50° C

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM WATER TEMPERATURE ?

Around 20° C, but it depends of the hygrometry of the ambient air.

WHAT IS THE ECONOKIT WATER AUTONOMY ?

Between 1000 kms and 1500 kms for a car, a lorry or a bus and around 8/10 hours for industrial application.

WHAT KIND OF WATER SHOULD I USE TO FILL THE TANK ?

The cleanest one, limestone less and chlorine less.
Rainwater or demineralized water is perfect.
Non-neutral water is better if a little bit acid.
Genuine distilled water for battery could also be used.

ECONOKIT DOES NOT CONSUMES WATER ANYMORE, WHY ?

Either the depression is too low (e.g. a weak on the silicone hose), or the water is too cold, or the charge rate is too low.

ECONOKIT CONSUMES MORE WATER THAN RECOMMENDED, WHY ?

Either the depression is too high, or the water is too warm or the air filter is too dirty and blocks the main air flow.

WILL MY ENGINE PRODUCE LESS BLACK SMOKES ?

Yes, because of the improvement of the combustion.
